A large population-based analysis of children with atopic dermatitis found only a small, clinically modest reduction in linear growth compared with peers without eczema, despite higher cumulative exposure to topical corticosteroids. The greatest differences were seen in those with more severe or persistent disease, but overall height-for-age remained largely within normal ranges.
