A patient suffered from thrombotic stroke at age 52. Within first year after Stroke, he had 3 seizures. Seizures were controlled by 300 mg phenytoin daily. Now it is 12 and half years, since the stroke. He doesn't have any seizure in last 11 years.

The treating physician wants to stop Phenytoin. But Neurologist does not agree. According to Neurologist as there is a lesion in brain phenytoin should continue life-long. What do you think about the duration of use of phenytoin?
