While doing my medicine in a govt.hospital,we used to send the inpatients to ECG room, where an ECG technician used to take ECGs. When the technician or the device is on leave, there will be no ECG taken and we simply write ECG N/A in the case sheets. I used to be very nosy and I checked each and every cupboard in our ward to make sure I was not missing any resources which can be used instead of rusting in there. I found out, each ward is provided with an ECG machine, but it was never used because the nurses and doctors dont know how to take ECG.

So is the USG machine in surgical ward. I then read the manual in ECG machine, to my shock the positioning of leads was given wrongly.
