Synopsis Nasal packs are commonly used to reduce the amount of postoperative hemorrhage and support the replacement of mucoperichondrial flaps after septoplasty. However, this practice increases postoperative pain and discomfort. A recent clinical study demonstrated that local anesthetics (LA) along with Adrenaline can safely be used for reducing pain and bleeding after septoplasty.
