Once- curable are now emerging as diseases causing mortality. Resistance due to mutation and evolution are the underlying causes for the menace. Current article deals with the reasons causing resistance in gram- negative bacteria and provides insights in effective management practices that can be adopted for curing the infections. Gram-negative bacteria are well known to cause infections including pneumonia, bloodstream infections, wound or surgical site infections, and meningitis.
Multidrug- resistant gram-negative bacteria are increasing day by day. Resistance in Gram- negative organisms is beta-lactam and carbapenem resistance with global prevalence.
