Narcissistic Personality Disorder has been long synonymous with those suffering from self-grandiosity and self-entitlement. Recently, though, sense of entitlement seems to be the norm in society rather than an oddity. It crops up frequently among families coming for therapy, it comes in the news daily among the “rich and (in)famous”, it’s even seen on social media where it is frequently mistaken for “freedom of expression”.

It is almost disturbing that so few people today actually feel the need to “earn” what they want. Case 1: A middle-aged couple brings a pre-teen girl for therapy.
