Epilepsy is a highly prevalent disorder affecting one in 200 people. 20-30% of the patients do not become seizure-free. Drug-resistant epilepsy may be treated surgically. But epilepsy surgery cases are not very popular in developed and developing countries. It is essential to create awareness about this therapeutic option in doctors as well as the general public.
