With rising incidences of ischemic heart disease, the therapeutic options for its management are also increasing. Most of the patients undergo invasive treatments like percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) and coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) for refractory ischemic heart disease. However, non-invasive treatments must be sought for patients with prolonged chest pain, where invasive treatments (PTCA/CABG) are not indicated.
