A recent study from the UK has confirmed that mild autonomous cortisol secretion (MACS) increases the risk of hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus in individuals with benign adrenal tumors. Women were found to be more affected than men. Adrenal incidentaloma has become a frequent clinical problem. These benign tumors may secrete cortisol profusely, leading to a condition known as mild autonomous cortisol secretion (MACS) 1 .
