The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has launched a nationwide mental health helpline to provide confidential support to doctors, residents, and medical students across India. Conceptualized by former FAIMA national secretary and GMCH Nagpur alumnus Dr. Sajal Bansal, the initiative connects medical professionals directly with well-known psychiatrists via mobile, available 20 hours a day across multiple time slots.

By offering private, two-way communication, the helpline addresses rising stress, burnout, and mental health challenges, particularly for those unaware of government helplines or hesitant to use them due to confidentiality concerns.
