The Ghaziabad health department has launched a year-round polio vaccination campaign after poliovirus was detected in sewage samples, prompting intensified surveillance and immunization efforts across the district. As part of the new strategy, health teams will conduct continuous vaccination activities throughout the year, moving beyond scheduled immunization rounds to ensure that children who missed doses are identified and vaccinated.
