Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the colon characterized by mucosal ulceration. Various therapeutic antibodies that target TNF agents have drastically changed the therapeutic arsenal for UC. Golimumab, is a novel anti-TNF antibody that represents a new treatment option for patients suffering from moderate to severe UC failing conventional treatment. The current article aims to provide brief information about this drug.
