Many people fail to survive in accident cases as a considerable amount of time is lost in locating government hospitals after accidents. Thus, recently the Delhi government came up with this scheme wherein all the bills suffered on the treatment of victims of road accidents, burns or acid attacks in private or government hospitals will be paid by the government. This- Accident Victim Scheme- was proposed and approved in the meeting of the state cabinet. There is no upper limit on the expenses allowed by the government.
The victims will get free treatment if the mishaps take place within the geographical jurisdiction of Delhi, irrespective of their domicile.
