Case Presentation A 35-year-old white woman, gravida 2 para 1, at 32 weeks and 4 days of gestation, presented to the emergency department with preterm labor and premature rupture of membranes. Her obstetric history was notable for one previous spontaneous miscarriage. The parents were unrelated, and their blood groups differed (mother O Rh-positive, father B Rh-positive). Antenatal follow-up had been uneventful, with no evidence of maternal infection or fetal structural abnormalities.

Antenatal corticosteroids were administered to promote fetal lung maturation. After 35 hours of labor, delivery was performed by cesarean section, resulting in a female neonate weighing 2000 g.
