HSG is done to rule out the possible uterine abnormalities, the potency of both Fallopian tubes and the spill of the dye into the abdominal or rather specifically pelvic cavity on both sides to ascertain the free flow of dye in both Fallopian tubes. When in 1998 dealing with an infertile couple, the HSG  already taken has given an important new information and observed by me for the first time.The report of HSG by the Radiologist did not mention this finding. The unequal nature of right and left Fallopian tubes in the form of length has been noted by me.

The right tube was more lengthy than the left.
