Insulin pumps reduce the risk of acute diabetes complications and improve glycemic control compared to insulin injections. However, the effects of hybrid closed-loop insulin therapy on diabetes complications in type 1 diabetes (T1D) patients remain underexplored. To address this gap, researchers have compared the effectiveness of hybrid closed-loop insulin therapy with open-loop insulin pump therapy in young T1D patients (n = 13,922; median age – 13.2 years).
