After its introduction in 2010 by Dr. Haruhiro Inoue, peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) has increasingly gained popularity as a treatment for achalasia. Studies have established the safety and efficacy of POEM in a vast population. Because of the need to work in very close proximity to vital mediastinal and peritoneal structures, the success of POEM highly depends on technical expertise and experience. What can be better than learning the technique from the inventor himself! To gain essential insights in POEM, Docplexus has organized a primetime event in association with the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons on 30 th August 2020, 9:00 PM onwards. In the session, experts will share their insights on peroral endoscopic myotomy and the past and future of minimally invasive surgery.
Speakers: Prof. Tehemton E. Udwadia Dr. Ramen Goel Prof. Haruhiro Inoue Dr. M. Kanagavel
