Case presentation A 7-month-old female infant was transferred from a different hospital to manage a fever with a suspected setting of leukemia. The patient had a 1-week history of fever with nonbilious, nonbloody emesis, 0.5 lb weight loss, and progressive abdominal distension. Previous diagnosis at a different medical facility Initially diagnosed with a viral infection- alternating doses of acetaminophen and ibuprofen were prescribed. The fever appeared to resolve Later, cessation of solid food intake was observed.
