A 10-month-old boy presented with an erythematous eruption (image 1) which involved his whole skin but more prominent in the flexures as well as in the periocular and perioral skin (image 2). The eruption was of sudden onset, commencing 24 hours ago, and the child became increasingly irritable, febrile and unwell. A number of superficial blisters and erosions were noted. Conjunctivae and oral mucosa were normal.
