A 72-year-old woman with poorly controlled hyperlipidemia and diabetes was presented to ED with a 5-day history of lower abdominal pain. She also had fever, nausea, and vomiting. Examination Lower abdominal tenderness was noted. Blood tests revealed leukocytosis, neutrophil count 11,800/mm3, CPR levels 24mg/dl and glucose 735mg/dl.
