Indian Medical Association (IMA) is not impressed by draft charter presented by the Health Ministry. According to IMA hospital Board of Indian National Secretary, draft charter dominates with patient rights and is misbalanced with duties and responsibilities. Health Ministry released a Draft Charter on Patients’ Rights which included 17 basic rights of patients and responsibilities of patients and caregivers.
The charter issued is open for taking suggestions from the stakeholders.
