Quoting India’s experience in eradicating pandemics like smallpox and polio, the WHO has praised the comprehensive and robust response of the Indian government towards containing COVID-19. Despite being densely populated and dynamic, India has been able to greatly control the spread of the virus in the deadliest phase of its cycle, although the coming days will prove to be crucial too.
