A major Switzerland-based food processing company has expanded a recall of certain infant formula batches beyond Europe to parts of Asia and the Americas, including China and Brazil, according to company updates and national health authorities. The affected products include specific batches of four infant formulas. The recall was initiated as a precaution due to possible contamination with cereulide, a toxin known to cause nausea and vomiting. To date, no illnesses have been confirmed in connection with the recalled products.
