In infertility treatment, it is an accepted treatment by using donor sperm in Intra vaginal or uterine insemination by getting the proper acceptance from a husband who cannot procreate because of azoospermia or rarely asthenospermia. But it has been noted in some centres to improve the results, without informing the details of results of the husband's sperm abnormalities, using the best count sperm on that day at that centre, IUI is being done with out getting any permission officially from husband and not informing the lady also, is going on as per enquiry which cannot be proved unless investigated properly. Is it not breaking the trust of the patients by doctors?Whether it is prevalent widely in India needs a study and regulation by govt by doing DNA testing in all IUI births to avoid such unethical practice.
