Patients suffering from Dengue Fever, Chickengunia complain of intense bone pains and joint pains. Its rightly said Break Bone pain in Dengue Fever. In chickengunia, apart from severe joint pains also associated with myalgias. Does the etiological pain mechanism in these viral conditions vary from the routine pain mechanism , and why is it so intense. Myself was a victim of chickengunia in 2010, which lasted for almost 2 yrs. I was on IV steriods and analgesics for almost 3 months daily, later on switched to oral analgesics.

Pain lasted almost for 2 yrs before l got complete relief . Whenever l come across these patients, my memory lingers back to difficult phase l faced.
