This article provides a short overview about the keloids and their treatment. Keloids are the fibrous growth that extend beyond the original area of dermatological injury and involve adjacent skin. In contrast, hypertrophic scars may appear similar but remained confined within the boundary of the wound area and tend to regress spontaneously over the time.
