Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder in which people have recurring, unwanted thoughts, ideas or sensations (obsessions) that make them feel driven to do something repetitively. The repetitive behaviors, such as hand washing, checking on things or cleaning, can significantly interfere with a person’s daily activities and social interactions. The recurring thoughts, which make you feel anxious & perplexed all the time which ultimately affect your daily life in the process, are OBSESSIONS.

The act that is done to prevent these obsessive thoughts like checking, hand washing, following symmetry is called COMPULSIONS. OCD  can be managed and controlled with proper help and guidance.
