According to the WHO, burns account for around 1,80,000 deaths every year worldwide. A wide range of factors such as the type, depth, and location of the burn, patient characteristics like age, health problems, and other associated injuries are considered while evaluating, treating, and managing the burn wounds. However, several challenges such as infection, poor healing of wounds, and improper wound care are faced by healthcare professionals (HCPs) while managing burn wounds. Therefore, HCPs must possess the skills and expertise to manage burns and the associated challenges effectively.
