Sports injuries of the shoulder are very common and therefore, they need to be studied in detail. Special attention should be paid to the dynamics of the shoulder girdle and the types of sports practiced to provide most appropriate treatment for athletes and help to prevent recurrences. This article briefly describes the management of shoulder injuries in sports. Upper-limb injuries occur very frequently in sports and, in relation to many types of sports activities, orthopedists may need to have knowledge of their physiopathology in greater detail to achieve the best possible treatment.
