Immune checkpoint inhibitors such as Ipilimumab, Nivolumab and Pembrolizumab have been approved by US FDA for variety of malignant neoplasms. They have significantly improved treatment but their use is also associated with unique immune-related adverse effects (irAEs). This article discusses about management of irAEs associated with these agents. Ipilimumab (anti CTLA-4) is currently approved by the US FDA for the treatment of metastatic melanoma.

Nivolumab and Pembrolizumab (PD-1 inhibitors) are both FDA approved for the treatment of metastatic melanoma and non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
