Recently, some news has made the rounds about Medical Council receiving complaints about fertility clinics and their ongoing marketing overdrive, for code violation of medical ethics regulation 2003. The news published stated the practices which are happening quite frequently nowadays such as the doctor who allegedly used banners showing his face, spanning 6 floors. Another doctor was booked as his face beamed at various points of Airport, promising healthy and perfect babies.
Additionally, the group of gynecologists was also pulled up for paying an online advertising agency to rank them best in the market. As a member of Medical fraternity we all know Act violation is not the correct practice. What initiative do you think is needed on our end to reduce such practices which blemishes our noble profession?
