Part 1: Preamble: Medical education has become a full-fledged Multi-Trillion Rupees Industry. At the same time, delivery of health care is also important, which is again a Multi-Trillion Rupees Industry. It seems there has been a gross mix-up of things. The " thekedaars " of this country, irrespective of their affiliations are trying to poke their nose without going into the nitty-gritty.
MCI: Medical Council of India which is supposed to be a regulator of Medical education is also being held responsible for the distribution of healthcare provision in the country. The " thekedaars " of this country are squarely blaming MCI for the imbalance in the availability of doctors in rural areas, more doctors working in private sector, more private medical colleges. It is accepted that MCI is not clean but all the above-listed deficiencies should be attributed to governmental policies. A must…
