Oman's Ministry of Health has issued a circular announcing the hike in medical examination fees. The fee hike is part of many other measures taken through the ministerial edict and will come into force from February 1, 2019. This move is in line with the countries omanization plan.
The ministry has issued a ministerial decision specifying new fees for medical examinations. With this decision, the cost of services provided by the ministry, including ambulance charges, vaccination fees, permits to import medication, permits to establish private hospitals, clinics and pharmacies will also see a rise.
