With monkeypox on the rise across the world, a single confirmed case in non-endemic countries is considered an outbreak. The Ministry of Health, Singapore , has confirmed a total of three imported cases and three local monkeypox cases in Singapore since 21st June, and the Southeast Asia region is on alert. The confirmed patients are males in the age group 30β40 years.
All the patients are reported to be stable and comfortably placed at National Centre for Infectious Diseases. Contact tracing is ongoing for all, and those identified have been quarantined for 21 days.
