The recently collaborated Comparing Outcomes of Antibiotic Drugs and Appendectomy (CODA) trial findings, which assessed antibiotics and appendectomy for treating appendicitis, were published in the New England Journal of Medicine. The CODA trial is the largest-ever study of appendicitis treatment, which included 25 hospitals across 14 states of the US.
