What should be line of treatment to slow the progress of diabetic nephropathy in a patient with microalbuminuria. Apart from ACE inhibitors and ARB's with strict glycemic control what other line of treatment should be given? Is N-acetylcysteine helpful is slowing the progress.
I recently came through a new product with N acetylcysteine which claims to halt microalbuminuria. As I have limited knowledge regarding this being a surgeon please enlighten me.
