Researchers from the New York University Grossman School of Medicine, New York, have conducted a prospective study on COVID-19 infected patients with neurological manifestations and suggest that neurological deficits in such patients can take a year to resolve. Study details Sample: 590 patients The average age of participants: 65 years 64% of patients included in the study were males. Conclusion Considering a higher potential of developing neurological deficits and a slow timeline for recovery of these symptoms, it becomes essential to have interventions that address the long-term neurological deficits of COVID-19 infection. Do you think interventions in the acute COVID-19 phase can prevent the development of neurological symptoms in patients?
