WHO suggest the cardiovascular disease (CVD) as the number 1 cause of death globally. Great advances have been made in identifying important markers for CVD. Implementing these in clinical practices can enhance the early diagnosis and better treatment of heart diseases. GlycA is a marker of inflammation measured by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy that has been shown to be associated with cardiometabolic disease and mortality. Similarly, CRP is a blood marker produced by the liver in response to inflammation.
