In recent past, a combination of Bruton’s Tyrosine Kinase (BTK) inhibitor Ibrutinib and B-cell lymphoma 2 (BCL2) inhibitor Venetoclax attracted a lot of attention as a combination therapy in cancer treatment. Mantle-cell lymphoma (MCL) is a specific type of Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma with no optimum treatment. Although both Ibrutinib and Venetoclax are active as a single therapeutic agent for mantle-cell lymphoma, a recent single-group phase 2 study involving oral ibrutinib and veneteoclax indicated better and improved outcomes in patients with mantle-cell lymphoma. The study also proved to be effective in patients who had poor outcomes with the current therapy. What is your experience with a combination of ibrutinib and venetoclax in cancer treatment?
