ย  Natural killer cells that are stimulated in response to oncolytic virotherapy often limit the efficacy of the therapy against cancer cells by acting against the virus itself. To address this challenge, researchers have recently developed a novel strategy (FusOn-H2) to that engages and bridges NK cells directed towards tumor cells and not the oncolytic virus . This mechanism would not only spare the healthy cells, but the NK engager would further enhance the antitumor activity.
