In my recent radio talk I was asked about the use of Nilavembu Kudineer for prevention of Dengue. Myreply was : ” Iam a doctor with MBBS and MD qualification. We practice modern scientific medicine also known as “Evidence Based Medicine”. Nilavembu Kudineer is a Siddha preparation. I cannot comment on other systems of medicine” Why I don’t advise public to take Nilavembu Kudineer? Reasons: 1. Nilavembu Kudineer is a Siddha preparation. I’m from Modern System of Medicine.
How can I practice another system of medicine , in which I’m not qualified ? 2. In India cross-pathy is prohibited. A person qualified in one system of medicine cannot practice another system of medicine. If anyone practices another system of medicine, it is punishable by law. A MBBS qualified doctor cannot prescribe Nilavembu Kudineer which is a Siddha preparation. 3. Government can very well promote Siddha medicine.…
