In a post "A Question Mark On Mental Safety Of Doctors" probable causes of stress to doctors in Government-run hospitals are lack of resources, public and political pressure. It has been confirmed in a shocking incident in which a 30 years old doctor committed suicide after quarreling with a patient over a petty issue in a primary health centre. The patient demanded tonic which was not available in stock, so doctor offered him tablet which was refused by the patient and led to a quarrel with a doctor. Mentally disturbed with this quarrel doctor ended his life.

He must be in stress prior to this incidence also. At least cause of stress which can be removed by the government should not be there. What is your opinion?
