According to the WHO, more than 2 billion people worldwide are overweight, of which 650 million are affected by obesity. It is strongly associated with glucose intolerance, insulin resistance, and hyperinsulinemia, putting obese people at an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes. At the same time, weight loss is associated with improved insulin resistance and glycemic control. Therefore, sound knowledge of the impact of obesity on diabetes, and the prevention and management of obesity can help lower the disease pathogenesis. To highlight and share the essential points on obesity, the CMS-Docplexus Training Program on Obesity Management will be conducted over 23 weeks .

In the 2nd week of the program, Dr. Sahil Fulara and Dr. Ramen Goel will share their insights on Obesity and Diabetes, on 8 th July 2021, 6 PM onwards. Stay tuned for this interactive session!
