Indolent non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHLs) is a very slow growing asymptomatic cancer that often get diagnosed at a very late stage. In many cases, it cannot be treated with radiation therapy as all the lymphoma cannot be included in the radiation field. Single drugs may be used, but a combination of chemotherapy is mostly used along with biologic therapy. Indolent NHLs are widely subjected to Biological therapy along with chemotherapy.
Rituximab (Rituxan) is the biological therapy used most often. It is only used for B-cell lymphomas.
