A 72 years-old man, presented to hospital with recent bed-wetting and 3 years history of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). His urinary flow had diminished over time, with just dribbles now. He spends hours in toilet as he takes long time to void. He frequently wakes up at night to pass urine, almost 5 times. Examination: A large abdominal mass. A full bladder level till umbilicus. The mass was dull to percussion and painless on palpation.

He had not noticed his bladder become full overtime. Digital rectal examination (DRE): It revealed a large benign-feeling prostate, no masses and normal anal tone and sensation. Biochemistry reveled deranged renal function. What is the likely diagnosis for this patient? *This patient case is from Docplexus Editorial Team for educative purpose only.
