Cancer is the second leading cause of death globally , resulting in one in every six deaths. The World Health Organisation reported approximately 9 million deaths due to cancer in 2018, affecting the country’s economy, particularly the low- and middle-income countries. Nearly 30 to 50% of cancer types are preventable, yet 14 lakh cancer cases were recorded in 2020. With more than 100 different types of cancer, awareness of the disease and its management is crucial.
