Statins, the cholesterol‐lowering agents, are well‐tolerated and are known to lower the risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases. However, if Musculoskeletal Adverse Events ( MAEs ) like myalgia, myopathy, and rhabdomyolysis develop during the statin use period, these agents may need to be temporarily or permanently discontinued. Thus, in order to reduce and prevent the risk of adverse events, it is important to acquire information on both the risk and onset timing of drug-related adverse events.
