Osteoporosis is very common under diagnosed and under treated endocrine disorder. India's prevalent osteoporosis population is expected to climb from 55 million in 2012 to hit 73.8 million a decade later, which will cause a significant increase in the morbidity and mortality because of osteoporosis. I think that osteoporosis is kind of neglected quite a bit even though it does add a lot to health care burden. Over the years we have learnt a lot about osteoporosis and there is lot yet to be learned.
