When we talk about urology, there are around ten sub-specialties in urology. It is tough to be good in all. Subspecialisation is the key word. For example, a pediatric urologist from urology or pediatric surgery will be better than the average urologist especially caring for neonates. Most antenatal problems are done in the neonate these days. Then there are endourologist, laser surgeons, robotic surgeons, uro-oncologists and so on.
Urologists are forming groups so that each can do one or two subspecialties and become better and more competitive in each. Whoever sees a case it will be done by the sub-specialist and the patient knows that "better care better outcome".
