We as practicing physicians come across patients from different age, family and education background, and socioeconomic strata. Every patient has his unique way of presenting their disease symptoms. Meaning, patients with basic medical knowledge will provide a detailed yet clinical presentation of their condition than a layman presenting his case.

Some patients can keep on repeating the same symptoms in different ways and so on. Sometimes, it may so happen that the patient mainly focuses on the symptoms which bother him in his daily life and completely misses mentioning some of the important symptoms which can be crucial in confirming the diagnosis. Has it ever happened to you that you missed the diagnosis because of the misleading clinical presentation provided by the patient?
